The plaintiff, Leonard Stone, filed a claim for unemployment benefits with the Department of Employment Security (the Department) after he was discharged from his job. A claims adjudicator concluded that plaintiff was discharged for misconduct (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1989, ch. 48, par. 432) and thus was ineligible for benefits. Plaintiff’s appeal of the adjudicator’s decision was confirmed by a referee. Plaintiff then appealed the referee’s decision to the defendant, the Board of Review (the Board), and the Board confirmed the referee’s decision.
