On January 8,1913, the People, by the State’s Attorney on the relation of James A. Campbell, by leave of court filed in the Circuit Court of Bock Island county an information in the nature of quo warranto against J. J. Taxman, requiring him to show by what warrant he exercised the license of keeping a saloon at No. 3106 Fifth avenue, in the city of Bock Island, which the information averred that he was keeping without any lawful license.
