— This case arose out of an automobile accident between plaintiff, Samuel Wilson, and defendant, James Letteer, on November 18, 1986. Plaintiff and defendant dispute liability.

At the time of the accident, plaintiff was driving a 1976 Ford LTD which was both unregistered and uninsured. Defendant, James Letteer, was driving an insured vehicle at the time of the accident.
