Springlake Corp. v. Symmarron Ltd. Partnership

Court of Special Appeals of Maryland

Decided February 8, 1990No. 849, September Term, 1989PublishedCited by 13 opinions

1Opinion of the Court

WILNER, Judge.

This case is another part of the fallout descending from the machinations of Jeffrey Levitt, erstwhile president of Old Court Savings & Loan Association. The only question is whether the Circuit Court for Worcester County erred in concluding, on summary judgment, that a certain lease and leaseback arrangement entered into at the insistence of Mr. Levitt was unenforceable because it violated a regulation promulgated by the State Board of Building, Savings and Loan Association Commissioners. We find no error and shall therefore affirm the judgment.
