Defendants each filed in this court on November 1st a petition for allowance of appeals nunc pro tunc from the judgments of murder in the first degree and sentences of death of the Court of Oyer and Terminer of Philadelphia County. These judgments and sentences followed the prisoners’ pleas of guilty to murder, a hearing before Judges McDevitt, Millar and Crumlish to determine the degree of guilt, and the proper sentences.
