Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Fertig, J.), rendered October 24, 1988, convicting him of robbery in the third degree and criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

Prior to trial, the People notified the defendant that the complainant had been unable to identify him. During trial, the complainant testified, through an interpreter, that he had "identified” the defendant at the police station. However, two police officers testified that the complainant…
