I. Upon the death of A. L. Melin, title to his farm of 200 acres passed to his five sons and one daughter. The claim of the latter thereto, by virtue of an alleged contract with decedent, was finally rejected in Melin v. Melin, (Iowa) 171 N. W. 20 (not officially reported). Thereafter, sale of the land was decreed, and partition of the proceeds. F. A. W. Johnson was appointed referee, and, after qualifying, sold the land at auction, June 21st, at $236 an acre.
