OPINION

Petitioners seek a writ of prohibition preventing Respondent, the Kayenta District Court, from exercising jurisdiction over claims in negligence filed against Petitioners arising from a motor vehicle accident occurring within the Navajo Nation on U.S. Highway 160 west of the Township of Kayenta, Arizona. Petitioners are nonmembers of the Navajo Nation. Fatalities resulting from the accident were a Navajo man and unborn fetus.
