Plaintiffs Maria Guadalupe Acevedo and Maria Cecilia Acevedo (“Plaintiffs”) filed suit under the Fair Labor Standards Act, 29 U.S.C. § 201, et seq. (“FLSA”), the Illinois Minimum Wage Law, 820 ILCS 105/1 et seq., and the Illinois Wage Payment Collection Act, 820 ILCS 115/1 et seq. Plaintiffs allege that Defendants Ace Coffee Bar, Inc. and Rodney D. Cavitt (“Defendants”) failed to pay overtime wages to Plaintiffs and other similarly situated persons.
