The plaintiff Bruce Meacham filed this claim for benefits on behalf of his minor sonpursuantto M.G.L.c. 258A (1988). Beginning in 1983 through August, 1985, the victim, then aged eleven, was sexually abused by his tutor. The victim’s parents made a report to the Milford police on November 23,1985, upon discovery of the crime. Criminal proceedings for indecent assault and battery on a child under fourteen were instituted against the tutor.
