In April 2006, Plaintiffs were arrested by the Defendant Officers at the scene of a street fight in Miami. Based on the circumstances surrounding their arrests, Plaintiffs’ filed a six-count complaint against the county of Miami-Dade and two police officers in their official capacities alleging excessive use of force, failure to intervene, and assault and battery.
