*255The instant motion before this court brought under Criminal Procedure Law § 30.30 seeks dismissal of the pending charges on the grounds that defendant’s statutory rights to a speedy trial have been violated and challenges the effectiveness of the People’s off-calendar statement of readiness (SOR) sent by certified mail to defense counsel to the address that defense counsel maintains with the New York State Unified Court System Attorney Registry (the Attorney Registry).
