{¶ 1} In this ease, we are called upon to interpret R.C. 4113.61, known as the Prompt-Payment Act, with respect to a contractor’s right to withhold payment from a subcontractor. Construction One, Inc. appeals from a judgment of the Franklin County Court of Appeals, which affirmed the judgment of the common pleas court to award Masiongale Electrical-Mechanical, Inc. attorney fees and prejudgment interest as a result of Construction One’s noncompliance with R.C. 4113.61.
