Defendant, charged with two counts of first-degree murder, Minn. St. 609.185(1), in the shooting deaths of his estranged wife, Katherine Raskie, and her friend, Carole Mastro, was found guilty by a district court jury of two counts of second-degree murder, § 609.19, and, upon conviction, sentenced to two terms of not to exceed 40 years, to be served concurrently.
