I. INTRODUCTION
The petitioner Thomas Junta (“Junta”) seeks the issuance of a writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. See Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus (“Petition”) [Doc. No. 1-1], Junta is in the custody of the respondent Michael Thompson 1 (“Thompson”), having been convicted of involuntary manslaughter.
