Defendant, Lester C. Gleiser, was charged with the violation of an ordinance of the city of Seattle, in that he did wilfully and unlawfully aid and abet June Simms to agree to perform an act of prostitution, in the city of Seattle, on or about September 4, 1946. The cause came on for trial before the court and jury, and on June 18, 1947, the jury returned a verdict of guilty as charged. Defendant duly filed motions in arrest of judgment and for new trial, which motions were by the court denied on June 28, 1947, and, on the date last mentioned, judgment on the verdict was entered, and…
