Appellant company brought this action to recover on three promissory notes, the face value of *16which was $875. The notes in suit evidenced a balance due from appellees to appellant for machine banded, wood stave pipe furnished by the latter to the former at an agreed price under a written proposal made by appellant and accepted by appellee.

The sufficiency of the three paragraphs of complaint was not challenged by demurrer, and the issues thereby tendered were closed by a general denial filed by appellees.
