Legge, Justice.

Appellant sued in the court of common pleas for Darlington County to recover damages, actual and punitive, because of slander alleged to have been committed by the defendant Stewart in the course and scope of his employment as agent of the defendant Life Insurance Company of Georgia. At the close of all testimony the motion of the corporate defendant for direction of a verdict in its favor was refused.
