C. 1 appeals from an order committing her as a mentally retarded person who is a danger to herself and others to California Psychiatric Transitions, a locked facility, for one year. (Welf. & Inst. Code, § 6500.) 2 Pursuant to legislation passed in 2012, if Rosalinda’s first commitment hearing had been held on or after July 1, 2012, she could not have been committed for more than six months initially, and then only if the court found her to be dangerous and in “acute crisis.” (§ 6500, subd.
