This case asks us to determine the amount of privacy which is to be afforded the statements of traders in the crowded, boisterous pits of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. “John Doe Trader Number One” appeals from an order of contempt by the district court for failure to comply with a subpoena duces tecum. Doe claims that the subpoena is the product of statements and information gained in violation of Title III, 18 U.S.C. §§ 2510 et seq., and that the subpoena should therefore be quashed.
