MEMORANDUM AND ORDER

VRATIL, District Judge.

Plaintiff Paula Hampton filed suit against Dillard Department Stores, Inc. (“Dillard’s”), alleging that as part of Dillard’s pattern and practice, its security officer, Tom Wilson, discriminated against her on the basis of race in violation of 42 U.S.C. § 1981. 1 Specifically, plaintiff claimed that Dillard’s deprived her of her right to enjoy all benefits, privileges, terms and conditions of her contractual relationship with Dillard’s. After a four day trial, the jury returned a verdict in favor of plaintiff, awarding $56,000 in compensatory damages…
