BOEHM, Justice.

Valentin Ortiz, Jr. was convicted of murder and sentenced to sixty years imprisonment. In this direct appeal, he contends that: (1) the trial court abused its discretion by denying his motion for a mistrial; (2) the trial court abused its discretion by admitting non-relevant, prejudicial testimony about Ortiz’s drug use after the murder; (3) the trial court erred in admitting inadmissible hearsay; and (4) the trial court erred in admitting evidence of Ortiz’s prior assault on his girlfriend.
