The petitioner, Santo Carrero Silva, brings this pro se petition (“Petition”) for a writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. After a jury trial in the New York State Supreme Court, Bronx County, the' petitioner was convicted of murder in the second degree in violation of N.Y. Penal Law § 125.25(1) and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree in violation of N.Y. Penal Law § 265.03(l)(b).
