This action was brought before a justice of the peace by the plaintiffs against John Walker and Robert Walker upon a promissory note. The defendants in their answer admitted the execution of the note, but claimed a set-off of $125 for services rendered by Robert Walker fot the plaintiffs. On the trial of the cause, the justice found for the defendants and dismissed the action. The plaintiffs-then appealed to the district court, where they filed a petition to which the defendant, John Walker, filed an amended answer as follows:
