This is a suit in assumpsit by Bessie Joseph against the New York Life Insurance Company. Plaintiff claims as beneficiary under a policy of insurance in the sum of $2,000 on the life of her deceased husband, Leonard L. Joseph. He at the time of the delivery of the policy to him and until his death on December 8, 1930, was a resident of New Jersey. On October 29, 1929, while the policy was in force, Joseph was adjudged a bankrupt, and Maurice L. Praissman was appointed trustee.
