SULLIVAN, Judge:

During December of 1994 and January of 1995, appellant was tried by a general court-martial composed of officer and enlisted members at Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany, Georgia. Contrary to his pleas, he was found guilty of making a false official statement and filing a false travel claim, in violation of Articles 107 and 132, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC §§ 907 and 932, respectively. He was sentenced to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement for 8 months, forfeiture of $500 pay per month for 4 months, and reduction to E-l. On May 11, 1995,…
