On February 1, 1929, E. E. Goucher, a physician and surgeon who resided at McMinnville, Oregon, entered into a written agreement with the defendant, George M. Ross, whereby 400 acres of his “Cline Falls Ranch” consisting of 1,300 acres located in Deschutes county, Oregon, was leased to the defendant for a period of three years.
