The defendant, Shaheed El-Alim Shabazz a/k/a Mario Kim, 1 petitioned this Court for a writ of certiorari to review whether the Court of Criminal Appeals erred in affirming the trial court's judgment dismissing his petition for a writ of certiorari. We granted certiorari review.2 For the reasons discussed below, we affirm the judgment of the Court of Criminal Appeals.
