VAN VADKENBURGH, District Judge.

On March 12, 1912, one Thomas Stack filed petition for naturalization in the .United States District Court, at Kansas City, Mo. In support of said petition he offered as a compliance with the terms of the fourth paragraph of the second subdivision of section 4 of the act of June 29, 1906 (34 Stat. 596, c. 3592 [U. S. Comp. St. Supp. 1911, p. 532]), a declaration of intention of July 25, 1896, filed by him in the court of common pleas for Elk county, Pa.
