The Bank of Vincennes was incorporated, by an act of the territorial legislature, in 1814. When the state constitution was formed, its charter was recognized and confirmed-By an act approved January 1st, 1817, its capital and powers were enlarged, and it was adopted as the state hank of Indiana, In the session of 1821, it was suggested to the legislature, that the said banking company had violated their charter.
