OPINION AND ORDER GRANTING PETITION FOR WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS

Petitioner Kent Jay Goldy has filed a petition for a writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. Petitioner, who was serving a five-year term of probation at the time he filed his petition, challenges two firearms-related convictions on the ground that he received ineffective assistance of counsel.
