In October 2000, plaintiff filed this product liability action alleging that working with defendant’s asbestos products had damaged his lungs. Defendant moved for summary judgment, claiming that a two-year statute of limitations barred plaintiffs claim. Defendant contended that plaintiff had known of the possibility that asbestos was the cause of his pulmonary problems since the mid-1980s and that plaintiff had referred to his “asbestos lungs” when seeking social security disability and workers’ compensation benefits in 1994 and 1995.
