MEMORANDUM OPINION
ACKER, District Judge.
The court has before it alternative motions by defendant, Metabolite International, Inc. (“Metabolite”), for judgments notwithstanding the verdicts, for new trials, and for remittiturs to reduce six separate jury verdicts for their alleged excessiveness. Harboring severe doubts about the necessity of holding the so-called Hammond/Green Oil hearing described by the Supreme Court of Alabama in Hammond v.
