This cause comes before us on an appeal from the decree of the Court of Chancery for the County of Madison.
For the sake of perspicuity, it will be proper to make a statement of the material facts on which the decree was founded. One N. Ragland recovered a judgment against Brali.au & Atwood, as indorsers of a promissory note ; which judgment, at the time this bill was filed, amounted to near three thousand dollars.
