This writ of error brings under review the proceedings m an action against the Virginia Electric and Power Company for the wrongful death of C. M. Whitehurst that resulted in a verdict for $2,500 in behalf of plaintiff, on which the trial court entered judgment.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Granby and Orchard streets in Norfolk, Virginia. At this intersection and for some distance in each direction on Granby street there are two motor traffic lanes, one for northbound and the other for southbound vehicles.
