Prison authorities at Illinois’s maximum security Menard Correctional Center occasionally rely on the Center’s Tactical Team — familiarly dubbed the “Orange Crush,” from the orange jumpsuits team members wear when performing their duties — to escort particularly dangerous inmates from one part of the prison to another. In this case, inmate Aaron Fillmore claims that he was maliciously treated by both the Crush and the officers in the Segregation Unit during a transfer to the Center’s Segregation Unit.
