OPINION

{¶ 1} This matter is before the Court on the Notice of Appeal of Roger C. Lanier, filed July 9, 2007. On April 23, 2007, Lanier was indicted on one count of having weapons while under disability, in violation of R.C. 2923.13(A)(3), one count of carrying concealed weapons, in violation of R.C. 2923.12(A)(2), and one count of improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, in violation of R.C. 2923.16(B). Lanier pled not guilty, and following a jury trial, he was found guilty of all charges on July 2, 2007. The trial court ordered Lanier to serve the following sentence: five years on…
