This case began as an insurance coverage dispute arising from a lawsuit filed by Michael Cristini against the City of Warren and one of its police detectives for wrongful prosecution. Cristini settled his case with the Warren defendants, and the present focus of this case now is upon those settlement negotiations, which Cris-tini now says in a counterclaim and third-party complaint were infected with fraud by Warren’s insurance carriers.
