Kingman Park Civic Association exists to protect and enhance Kingman Park and the surrounding neighborhood in Washington, D.C. It has successfully applied to the District’s Historic Preservation Review Board to have the former Spingarn Senior High School designated a historic landmark. (The school was built in the mid-20th century for African American students, in one of the last gasps of de jure school segregation.)
