This action was commenced on the 27th day of February, 1896, by the appellees, in the G-reene Circuit Court, to quiet title to certain described real estate, upon which appellant, it appears, claimed to hold a coal lease for a period of ninety-nine years, beginning November 10, 1883. The complaint is in the ordinary and general form, and, after alleging that the plaintiffs are the owners in fee simple, as tenants in common, of the land described therein, it is further averred that the defendant is asserting an unfounded interest or right in and to said lands, which is adverse to plaintiffs’…
