I. INTRODUCTION

In this consolidated patent infringement action,1 Plaintiff Gator Tail, LLC alleges that certain boat motors produced by Defendants Go-Devil Manufacturing Co. of La., Inc. and Mud Buddy, LLC infringe the asserted claims of the patents-in-suit. (08-cv-00124 Doc. 20; 08-cv-00125 Doc. 1). On January 27 through January 31, 2014 the court held a three-day bench trial limited to the issue of patent validity.
