MEMORANDUM AND ORDER ON DEFENDANTS’ MOTIONS TO SUPPRESS

BACKGROUND

The underlying facts are sordid and need not be elaborated beyond their essentials. The case began with an anonymous call on December 2, 2004, to a Department of Social Services (DSS) child abuse hotline. 1 The caller reported that Jane Doe, 2 the eight-year old daughter of defendant Kendra D’Andrea, was being sexually abused by her mother and the mother’s live-in boyfriend, defendant Willie Jordan.
