The board of public works of the city of Seattle called for bids for the construction of what was collectively known as the Lake Youngs Development, it being a part of additions and betterments to, and extensions of, the existing water system of the city, specified pnd adopted by ordinances of the city. Six bids were submitted, that of Jahn & Bressi being the lowest, and that of Goetz & Brennan, a corporation, being next to the lowest.
