Susan and George Mercier sued Sheraton International, Inc. [“Sheraton”] for breach of contract and intentional interference with contractual relations in connection with an alleged agreement to establish and operate a gambling casino at the Istanbul Sheraton Hotel. Sheraton moved for dismissal on the ground of forum non conve-niens, asserting that Turkey is the more appropriate forum. The district court ordered dismissal. Mercier v.
