I.Nature of the Case

This case began with the Louisiana felony arrest of plaintiff Brian Landry in October of 1990. Landry arranged bond with defendant A-Able Bonding, Inc., and its owner, defendant Gerald Burrow. In November of 1990, plaintiff left Louisiana, defaulted on the balance of his bond premium, and did not appear for his scheduled court date.
