Individual owner-operators who leased trucks to United Van Lines, a federally registered motor carrier (the “Owner-Operators”), and a trade association, Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association, Inc. (“OOIDA”), commenced this class action against United, alleging violations of the Secretary of Transportation’s Truth-in-Leasing regulations, 49 C.F.R. Part 376, claims that may be brought in court under 49 U.S.C. § 14704(a)(2).
