Appellant was convicted, after a jury trial, of assault with a dangerous weapon 1 and assault. 2 He was sentenced as an adult to serve forty months to ten years for assault with a dangerous weapon and one year, to run concurrently, for assault. The events leading to the assault charges began with a verbal exchange between the appellant and the complaining witness over a traffic mishap.
