This is a libel for damages sustained by a collision which occurred on the waters of Lake Michigan, seven or eight miles north of the entrance to Chicago harbor, about 2 o’clock in the morning of October 1,1882, between the propeller Tempest, owned by the libelants, and tho barge Peshtigo, in tow of the propeller Boscobel; both the Boscobel and tho Peshtigo being owned by respondent.
