Plaintiffs International Film Exchange, Ltd. (“IFEX”) and others 1 brought an action seeking damages for copyright in fringement with respect to the foreign film classic, “Ladri Di Biciclette” (“The Bicycle Thief;” hereinafter the “Film”). Defendants Corinth Films, Inc. (“Corinth”) and others 2 counterclaimed for infringement, alleging that they, and not plaintiffs, are entitled to the exclusive United States distribution rights to the Film.
