On June 14, 1978, defendant was convicted after a jury trial of first-degree murder, MCL 750.316; MSA 28.548, and felony-firearm, MCL 750.227b; MSA 28.424(2), and was subsequently sentenced to life imprisonment. He appealed as of right. On October 24, 1980, this Court reversed his conviction. 101 Mich App 130; 300 NW2d 502 (1980).
